RAIDERMOTO.COM BLACK OPS SR400/500 GOLDSTAR
The most iconic BSA model ever, the BSA Gold Starr, was actually something of an anomaly for the company. BSA traditionally produced comfortable bikes made for touring and for the working man, many of which had a motorcycle as the only family transport.
The Gold Star, on the other hand, was not a good bike for getting to work. Built for performance, it was noisy, hard to start, and uncomfortable, but it was fast and a lot of fun to ride. Following World War II, Gold Stars became famous on both sides of the Atlantic for their performance both on and off-road. In England, the Gold Stars dominated the Clubman TT races and were road-raced in many amateur events, winning numerous off-road competitions. In the U.S., Gold Stars did well on the beach at Daytona, qualified for the finals in flat track and TT racing, and lined up for all sorts of off-road events.
Easily one of the most iconic bikes of the cafe racer era, we selected this famous model as the creative inspiration for one of our most popular custom builds. Any Raider Custom build consumes upwards of 250 hours to create; we are limited only by your imagination and your budget.
