1980 – 2020 M\u00fcnch Mammut<\/strong><\/p>\n

Freidl M\u00fcnch built some of the, fastest, most beautiful and unusual motorcycles the world had ever seen. From his home in Altenstadt, Germany, Munch began a career that would span 4 decades of motorcycle engineering. From the late 40\u2019s Munch headed the competition department of Horex motorcycles, and when Horex folded in 1958, Munch bought their stock of motorcycles and spares and set out on his own.<\/p>\n

Designing bikes for the rising Caf\u00e9 Race culture, in 1966 Munch took the motorcycle world by surprise by releasing the most ostentatious creation ever seen, the Mammut (Mammoth). Due to each bike being built truly \u2018by hand\u2019, it is believed that no two Mammut\u2019s are the same.<\/p>\n

Sixty-Six years after release of the first Mammoth, the M\u00fcnch name is being revived by a small group of Austrian enthusiasts who are building a very limited production of traditional M\u00fcnch models and a new avant-garde design titled the M\u00fcnch 2000.\u00a0 Each bike is built by hand to the owners specification of either 1200 or 1400cc engines, and a choice of colours in traditional Much colours.<\/p>\n
