Whilst the engine specification was virtually unchanged compared to the narrow case models, the new Mk 3 Desmo is unique and instantly recognisable by its twin-filler chrome paneled tank and chrome guards. Some Desmo’s also had polished stainless steel, but all non-desmo models received only silver painted guards & tanks. General perception is that all Desmo’s had black frames, but red frames were also an option to new buyers, and was the case in the day, if a buyer wanted something outside of the designated build spec, Ducati would accommodate most requests rather than loose sales.

This beautiful Australian delivered Mk3 has had only one previous owner; the present owner acquired this bike 33 years ago and set about returning it to concourse original condition. As the photos depict, it has been maintained in excellent original condition. Included is the super-rare original factory workshop manual, and most noteworthy is the possibility to acquire a vast inventory of factory spares with this bike; many NOS items acquired from the Australian importer after the singles no longer warranted support.

Currently on NSW historic registration this bike has traveled only 244 miles in the past 33 years.

As with any listing, genuine offers are welcome, so for further information, more photos, shipping, any price or provenance inquiry, please feel welcome to contact RaiderMoto.com on line or during office hours on +61 2 66512405, cell +61 423 559656. Email inquiries can be sent to mybike@raidermoto.com, or find us on Facebook RaiderMoto.com

IMPORTANT!! The advertised price may include shipping concessions and/or be subject to currency exchange rate fluctuation – please contact RaiderMoto.com to confirm the location of this item and establish the price relative to the current exchange-rate.

Need finance? – RaiderMoto.com can provide on the spot approval at better than bank rates to approved Australian customers (Mon – Fri)

International Buyer? – RaiderMoto.com has offices & agents in six Countries

Need shipping? – RaiderMoto.com ships worldwide by air-sea-road & provides full import/export, Customs & Quarantine services for every country

Stock No: AH-MK3

1968 Ducati 259Mk3D – Twin Filler In 1968 Ducati introduced what is now referred to as the ‘wide case’ 250 and 350 Mk 3 Desmo’s.
