1971 Laverda 750 SF1<\/strong><\/p>\n

Even before its official commencement, Laverda made it name from racing, competing at factory and privateer levels and enjoying great success throughout the 1950s. Racing improves the breed and in 1961 Laverda released its first \u2018Big-twin\u2019, a 200cc machine debuting at the Milan Motor Show. Focused only on creating bigger, more powerful bikes, at the 1966 Earls Court Motor Show Laverda launched it now iconic 650 Twin, and barely 12 months later at the 1977 Milan Show, Laverda released its first 750cc in two models, the GT and Sport.<\/p>\n

A year later Laverda released the first 750 SF (Super Freno, or \u2018super brake\u2019), making reference to the all-new drum brake designed in-house by the company\u2019s owner, Dr Francesco Laverda. In 1971 the SF became the SF1, receiving Nippon-Denso instruments, a redesigned fuel tank, and all-new exhaust system with the balance pipe repositioned under the engine.<\/p>\n

This particular SF1 has been beautifully preserved in unrestored condition. Located with our Austrian agent, the advertised price includes shipping and arrival charges into Sydney.<\/p>\n
