Laverda GM, Massimo Laverda, toured the U.S. to evaluate market potential. First released in 1968 in 650cc guise, 2 years latter saw the release of the first 750SF (SF stood for Super Freni or Super Brakes). Earlier 750\u2019s used Grimeca twin-leading stoppers, whereas the new SF used a twin-leading system designed by none other than Francesco Laverda, who\u2019d earlier questioned the viability of a big twin in the company\u2019s production line-up.<\/p>\n<p>Visually identifiable by an exhaust balance pipe just aft of the cylinder head, to smooth out power flow, the new 750 SF further benefited from a new, more ridged frame and other enhancements to improve handling and reliability.<\/p>\n<p>This is particular 750SF is a 1972 model, and present in original patina.
