With production running from 1981 to 1984, it is reported that the KB2 was Massimo Tamburini\u2019s favourite Bimota design and build. For the KB2\u2019s design brief,\u00a0Tamburini was focused strictly on reducing weight instead of chasing higher horsepower. Powered by the middleweight Kawasaki 550 engine, the KB2 was also the first Bimota equipped with 16\u201d Campagnolo wheels. So pleased with the outcome, Tamburini built a one-off KB2 for himself.<\/p>\n

Only 177 KB2\u2019s were ever constructed and this lovely original example is build number 45. Having travelled only 21,000\u2019s k\u2019s, this 1981 Bimota KB2 Laser S was delivered new in Germany and is presently located in California. Current owner purchased the bike in 2013 and imported to the US. The bike has travelled only 117 KM since purchase and became a static display in the owners Cali residence.<\/p>\n

The owner feels the carburettor jetting is not correct for US west cost, and has purchased a Dyna Jet Kit that is included with the sale. Other than that the bike is reported as being in good original condition for it\u2019s age, and is sold with a California title.<\/p>\n
