Yamaha released the YSR50 and YSR 80 in Japan in 1986. Designed as a scaled-down YSR500, the two models were instant hits in Japan and sold as fast as they could be delivered. The YSR was the first \u2018mini-bike\u2019 to introduce genuine sports-bike features like disc brakes and 5 speed transmission, and of course these, together with an excellent frame, led to them becoming ideal junior racing bikes. The model has proven one of Yamaha\u2019s most successful novelty productions and was discontinued in 1992.<\/p>\n
Today it is very had to find these little bikes in original condition, and when they do they sell fast and attract premium values. In July 2016 an YSR50 sold on Ebay for 3,895USD and another with extensive corrosion for 4,000USD.<\/p>\n
This YSR80 is in original condition and only seen 2,766k’s use. It has original patina and is available in as-landed condition.<\/p>\n
