Honda\u2019s legendary RC30 is one of the greatest Sports Bikes every created. A purpose built road registrable race bike designed and build with one objective, to win the World Superbike Championship, a feat it did convincingly with works rider Fred Merkel in 88 and 99, while in the same years winning the IOM TT with Carl Fogarty.<\/p>\n
This particular RC was originally destined for Germany so it is the \u2019full-power\u2019 variant. For reasons unknown it arrived at the South African concessionaire in Cape Town. Unfortunately shortly after arrival the concessionaire went into receivership and the bike remained unpacked in its original crate until 1991 when it was sold to another Cape Town dealer where it was unpacked and placed on display in his showroom. In 1996 it was offered for sale; having never been pre-delivered or started is was advertised in ‘as new’ condition, and was purchased by the current owner. This is a genuine one owner bike.<\/p>\n
In 1997 the owner moved to Australia and the bike was fitted with an Australian Compliance plate. Once plated the original wheels\/tyres\/exhaust were removed and replaced with 17″ Marchesini rims, Michelin tyres and HRC kit exhaust. All OEM items were kept in safe storage and are included in the sale.<\/p>\n
In 2000 the owner moved to Spain taking his beloved bike with him enjoying 5 years riding around Europe. In 2005 both bike and owner returned to Australia where it has seen very little use. Total use from new is only 16,350Kms. Sale includes all original purchase receipts and South African papers, Spanish registration & Technical Inspection by the “Junta de Andalucia” in 2001, Queensland registration papers and RWC safety inspection report, original wheels\/tyres, exhaust, indicator lights, OEM number-plate light fitting, OEM garage stand and work-shop manual.<\/p>\n
This bike has never been damaged and has unquestionable provenance.<\/p>\n
