For those not familiar with the \u201cR\u201d models, this is the true high compression 999cc short stroke\/big bore WSBK homologation testastretta engine, titanium rods and valves, magnesium cases and rocker covers, magnesium instrument and light front sub-frame, carbon fibre fairings, top spec Ohlins, factory Termi exhaust, radial Brembo brakes and (most importantly) WSBK homologated swingarm which is completely different to a 999 or 999s. You don\u2019t need to be a Ducati aficionado to be blown away by the quality of the factory kit on this bike. Plus it\u2019s just had a full service incl. belts. This is not cheapest 999R but there is a very good reason for that \u2013 because it\u2019s probably the best in the country.<\/p>\n<p>The Xerox Ducati 999R was made in fewer numbers than the famous Desmosedici. Interest in the entire 999 range has risen dramatically as astute collectors and enthusiasts realise that this model is destined to become a much sought-after example in the Ducati history. For many Ducatisti, the Pierre Terblanche designed 999 was too much of a shift from its predecessors, the much loved 916\/996\/998, but history has shown these models regularly become the most sort after due to their low volumes.
